[REVIEW] Peri Pera - Cloud Ink Velvet #2, #5

October 23, 2017

I love Peri Pera tint ever since my first purchase of Peri's Ink Tint and i'm excited to see their latest release into the velvet series family.

This Cloud Ink Velvet claims to

  • Provide matte texture that encases lips as gently as cloud
  • Colors that weightlessly adheres like clouds
  • A long-lasting and non-drying matte finish (Include extract: Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Lotus Extract)

Volume: 8g

This cloud series come in a total of 5 different shades, and I've picked #2 Heart Red Orange and #5 Reddish Rose

Information like the name and shade number of the product could be found on top and bottom of the packaging, but if you want to know more about other information, they have most of the things you need to know at the back of the box packaging.

Applicator:

The foot doe applicator attached to the tube-like cap and this packaging inherit from the the others peri pera tint :)

Not to mention it's flat shape and soft bristle, i could easily glide it onto my lips with the flat side and turn it side way for the corner of my lips

Swatch:

Right side of the swatch are wiped off once with a cleansing tissue

Verdicts:

+ The color payoff of this tints are vibrant and pigmented
+ It contain sweet perfume fragrance (that I've completely fallen into the scent!)
+ Just as the name described it to be, indeed it felt like "Cloud" sitting on top of your lips. The velvety matte finish doesnt feel heavy on the lips yet it could bring out the vivid color finish
+ During the initial application, it felt creamy on the lips(lasted 1+ horus), yet it appear to have matte finish
+ As the stain continue to sit on the lips, it does not dry my lips out.
- I don't think it's very long lasting. It fade off with me drinking water, leaving 70% of the stain behind, after meal it's only left with 10%-20% of the stain on my lips. Well, actually i would say it's pretty normal for this lasting power, but i felt that the Ink and velvet version from Peri Pera did a better job than this :)

Still, i love everything about this tint, though the only downside is that it's not as lasting as the other 2 series i've tried, but i definitely dont mind touching up my lips every 5 hours or so 😉
