[REVIEW] MAC - Versicolour Stain | #Resilient Rouge

July 11, 2017

M.A.C has been a brand that I've wanted to try for such a long time, especially their lipstick. I've got their cream sheen lipstick but today i will be reviewing this Versicolour Stain which i picked it up last minute. I mean, i was just shopping for their lipstick in mind but oh well, you know whenever we shop, we tend to want to grab anything we see. 😂

Packaging & Claims:

"M∙A∙C Versicolour, the ultimate fusion of gloss + stain, all in one fluid formula that melts onto lips for a full-on glassy shine that lasts and lasts and lasts. Infused with emollient oils, its creamy, lightweight texture stays bright, lustrous and so comfortable without ever cracking or peeling. Like an energy shot for your lips, a range of resilient hues live long into the day (and night). Welcome to your new obsession."

The tint came in a tube with a matte black top and bottom, as usual from most MAC packaging, black accents and sliver font on it.

While the middle part of my packaging on the tube is red, it come with different color depending on what shade of the tint you choose.

Application/Applicator:

Wand applicator with a pointy doe foot and i really like how this applicator doesn’t pick up too much product on the spongy doe foot. You all know some lip tint they have fat and flat applicator that pick up lot's of tint, though we could always wipe out the excess product on the stopper/lid area but i'm always avoiding making a mess on the lid area 😂

Product Swatch:

(Top: Without Flash) , (Bottom: With Flash)

Gosh! The color payoff is soooooo pretty 😍 Alright, the formulation is just... AWESOME.

First off, it felt so smooth and hydrating on the lips, secondly it's literally so lightweight, i'm serious about it being lightweight, i mean how could MAC claim this to be a "Glossy"-"Stain" while keeping it so lightweight! You guys know that usually a gloss felt kinda thick and uncomfortable on your lips right, but this versicolour felt so light and "Gelish" on your lips.

The shine started to wear down in about 2 hours or later, retaining satin finish on my lips for a few more hours before it fades into a matte stain.

Verdicts:
+They’re very pigmented
+ This tint is semi-opaque and it's buildable to full color
+ It contains a sweet cookie scent to it
+ Extremely lightweight and i love the natural gloss/sheen
+ I love how this product don't accentuate dry patches and it doesn't fall into my lip lines as well.

- The stain is not really lasting, it fade off with me just drinking water, but the light stain afterwards could last about 4 hours or so. It'd be gone right away after meal though.

Thank you for reading today review, may you have a great day ahead 🍀
